I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
